What ‘dieting' does NOT mean

Image
Dieting is popularly perceived as hardly eating or shunning away from normal food. How many times have we popped our eyes balls with the thought of 'dieting'! Does the fear kick in because we think it’s torture impossible to sustain or not practical enough? Well, let me expose some of the ridiculous myths associated with the word 'dieting' before you decide for yourself. I will also share a simple formula to create your own diet chart and urge you all to make dieting your way of life rather than simply a crash diet to satisfy the most common weight loss goal.  You will enjoy learning this;  Dieting does not mean having just boiled food:  It's always a good practice to eat home-cooked food but not necessarily boiled food! Just be aware and control the ingredients you add to your calories, dieting is a simple art of science, trust me, you can eat anything under the sun if it is done in a quantified manner! Break the Mental Health stigma

Image
Huge respect to all people already seeking psychiatrist help. You are not crazy my friend, in fact, it's a sure sign of your mighty strength, courage, self-awareness and valour.  Generally, people who experience mental illness simply choose not to seek professional help for a certain stigma attached to it. It's time we talk about seeking mental health openly without any fear. Sufferers do realize the extent of damage they cause themselves by not seeking professional help and choose to suffer in silence. All this just to avoid being judged or discriminated by their own people, leave apart the rest of the world. Most sufferers have zero awareness about their mental disorders neither they have any help from their families, communities or otherwise.  Most often, people who consult a counsellor do not suffer from a serious mental disorder or illness. By this I mean symptoms of depression, anger, career choices, trouble with making decisions, end of a romantic relationship, addiction

Spitting in public is not your birthright!

Image
Spitting in public comes naturally to our shameless majority who think they have the right to do so freely. It has become a way of life for them! Be it our famous paan or mucus laced with phlegm, its hit every ground, each wall, each corridor of offices, cinema halls, government departments and other public places! I haven't had the privilege to visit any public property yet without the absence of compulsive spitting culprits!  Spitting in public is an offense and must be dealt with seriously. But so far all the public awareness initiatives taken up by the government to educate the masses have all gone in vain. How can this nasty habit be curbed!   The covid-19 pandemic has been another timely eye opener, but does that mean spitting will ever end in our country? There is no better time than now. Wake up India!  It's difficult to travel even 1km without having to come across 10 people or more spitting on the road. Fines should be levied instantly on people found spitting, traffi

Dealing with Dental Traumas

Image
There comes a time in each one's lives where we have to pay heed to our dental issues; baring people who are extremely lucky not to have any dental problems their entire lifespan! Dental treatments can be simple or complex depending case to case. Aggggh! A lot of us tend to delay our dental treatments for various reasons. Be it time constraints, financial strength, dental phobia and what not. We do understand that the more it is delayed the worse it could get. My dental issues began in my school days in the year 1995. I lived in a hostel and was dragged for a root canal in class 7 to this dentist of those times that my parents could not even afford but we had no option in the vicinity and it was urgent. I was always a malnutritiond kid, would enjoy eating mud, slate chalk, stones and all such nasty things. I honestly over did it like they were a gift from Santa exclusively for me! So now, I have borne the brunt and corrected my dentals. All my treatments involved complications du
